These tools are designed to assist with the removal ofmost sizes of attaching ticks. Do not wrench the tick or try to pull the tick away aggressively or with more force than is needed to feel resistance -doing so may result in the tick disengaging from the tool ie the body sliding through the forks or being forced out of the mouth of the fork or the body being ripped away from the tick's mouth leaving the mouth engaged in your pet's skin.
