Made at the Leach Pottery in St Ives as part of the standard ware range. These cups were described as coffee cups and featured in the standard ware catalogue. I have the original catalogues of 1946, 1952, 1960, 1971 and 1976. I can say that they didn’t feature in any of the catalogues I have until 1960. The cup is in good condition without any chips, cracks or repairs. They were made using 3 different glazes A,B & C. This glaze is the A glaze Black to rust tenmoku glaze. Stamped with both the St Ives Leach pottery stamp and an England stamp potentially for export. In the 1972 catalogue these were listed at number 39 They sold for £0.50
