this is a Traditional German make coffee maker, it makes filter coffee using a water reservoir that balls the water and pulls it through a filter that you insert a paper filter. this coffee filter machine has had very little use as it was a backup machine at the back of our home office. I am of German original and we drink i lot of filter coffee so we bought this thinking it would be used for our coffee. my husband however uses a Italian coffee maker for his coffee and that is what we use. I can only recall this being used ones for a period of approximately three weeks when our main italian coffee maker stopped working and had to be replaced.
