Purchase these books awhile ago from the states, made the rookie mistake of ordering a nine forgetting US are a size smaller. I’m a UK9 and I can get my feet into them with a thin pair of socks, they’re a wide fitting and I would say between a UK8 and the UK 8 1/2 would be perfect. There are signs of wear on them but it is minimal. Gore-Tex lined,  of course. And soft toe ( some kind of plastic which is much lighter than Steel  I imagine)
