This is a real piece of history. On the surface just a US M42 mess kit, which has certainly seen some use, but much more. I personally recovered this piece from the south of Bastogne, being sold by a local It cannot be said for certain, but it most likely belonged to one of the besieged US soldiers of Bastogne. It shows signs of use, with the canteen having most likely been held over a naked flame. The box is not included in the sale Feel free to ask questions
