Up for sale is a beautiful authentic antique cast iron trivet, originally used for resting a hot "sad iron" (clothing iron) to protect household surfaces. Good antique condition. The wooden handle is secure but shows a flat chip/wear on one side (shown in photos), which adds to its character as a genuine late 19th-century utility tool.
