I only use high grade Cat 6 cable with copper wires (no copper clad aluminium rubbish) 4 pair 8 core but only 2 pairs are connected! in fact for a modem you only need 1 pair. Will reduce crc errors and therefore reduce latency important for online gaming and streaming etc.
