Solidago gigantea L., commonly known as giant goldenrod, is a herbaceous perennial plant native to North America, particularly prevalent in the central and eastern regions of the continent. The name Solidago means, in Latin, “to make whole” or “to make well". Dried goldenrod leaves can be brewed into a herbal tea. Goldenrod tea may have a slightly bitter taste and is sometimes blended with other herbs or sweeteners for improved flavour.
