Scarce EMD 1958 Rock Island SW900 or SW900M Builder Plate

(Technically, 563 was rebuilt from a 1930s-era Electro-Motive Corporation SW switcher with a Winston engine and designated as an SW900M.). EMD built only 274 SW900 switchers, and only 29 for the Rock Island, all of them rebuilds of the earlier EMC SWs.
