MacAuley Hunting Modern Light Weight Tartan. There appears to be two MacAulay families, one settled about the 13th century at Ardincaple and the other in the Island of Lewis. The Ardincaple MacAulays were a branch of Clan Alpine, and in 1591 were associated with the MacGregors as septs.
