A superb antique English Victorian solid 18k gold and pearl poison ring, hallmarks of William Osborn, Chester 1894. This fabulous antique solid 18k gold poison ring is nicely weighted and has been designed with a curving central boat-shape lid covered in 8 larger and 6 smaller prong-set natural pearls which all glow a pretty silver-gold-white in the light, the lid flips up on a hinge which reveals a fantastic hidden oval shape compartment inside the ring, the ring with a gently graduating band-an unusual and gorgeous poison ring! The ring has full English hallmarks inside the band with maker's mark 'WO' for William Osborn of Northampton St., Birmingham (registered 1889), the crown for gold, '18', the Chester town mark and date letter 'L' for 1894.
