Washhouse Courtyard was used to house those who looked after the monks, to serve food to the poor and to accomodate the Brothers. It remains the site of Charterhouse's laundry. Elizabeth Piper (active 1892 - 1932), exhibited in Fine Arts Palace, 1893 Exposition.
