Unit powers on with some lights visible (see photos) - buttons work, channel buttons randomly switch to another button not pressed, internal mechanism does not show signs of movement when controls are pressed, eject button works with a fluid eject motion. I do not have a Betamax tape to test further - unit has scratches & scuffs & spotting/discoloration from normal use (see photos for physical condition)
