The dbx 231 is a two-channel Constant Q, 1/3 octave (third-octave band) equalizer with 20 mm fader. The adjustable frequency range is between 20 Hz and 20 kHz (according to ISO standard). The input gain control can be used to adjust the input level by +/- 12 dB. The low cut has an effect of 12 db/octave at 50 Hz (switchable Bessel filter). The fader setting range can be adjusted from +/- 6 dB to +/-12 dB. The dynamic range is over 108 db. The 231S has HF filtered inputs and outputs, each balanced and unbalanced as XLR and jack sockets.
