PLATTER STAFFORDSHIRE "Zebra Pattern" by John Rogers - circa 1820

This is an antique John Rogers & Son blue and white transferware dish in the "Zebra" pattern. The dish was made in Staffordshire, England, circa 1825. It features a distinctive chinoiserie-style design with a central vignette of a landscape and a border of large flowers. The pattern is known as "Zebra" due to the two somewhat startled-looking striped animals depicted in the central scene It does appear to have repair in the past.
