I think it works the best with nyger seed. It holds more than 3 quarts of seeds. I have also had fun by putting a few skewers thru the bag for birds to perch on. The birds cling to the side of the sack and feed thru holes.We believe our sack feeders are the most efficient and economical way to feed the birds.the birds cannot "flick" the seeds out with their beak thus resulting in far less waste.
