Actual pole length for uprights (legs) is 1.5m, once pushed into soil 300mm this leaves an erected height of 1.2m. Our low vegetable fruit cages are constructed from aluminium tubing, 16mm for the uprights (legs) and 13mm for the crossbars (width & length), connecting the poles together we use plastic joiners which fits inside the pole.
