TOP RAILING IS A LITTLE UNDER 2" WIDE. Lag into solid wood or use sleeve anchors in block and brick walls. This Rail is set already pitched matching the most common step of 7" rise over 12" treads. I nstallation is easy just set the height between 34-36" above the nose of the step.
