It is in working order. Battery life is still good on the rechargeable batteries . The charger cable is also used to connect to a pc The parent pin is 1987 . I had set it to this and if you ever forget the pin , leapfrog have a hack to override on their website for the product. Ready to use . No games but there are already lots of activities loaded with the base unit anyway .
