This is a charming blue overlay Peking glass snuff bottle in the shape of a turtle. We do not know the age for sure but it did come with a collection of other pre 1940 snuff bottles. This turtle has the carved cobalt overlay glass as his shell. It is an elaborate carving of foliage and birds with a Greek key style boarder. The bottom shows his four cobalt blue feet and he has tiny dots of cobalt blue for eyes. It has a spoon and agate Top. Condition: excellent for age and normal use. Measurements: 2 5/16 inches wide x 1 1/4 inches high x 1 14/16 inches long approximately. Weight: 1.7 oz. Or 49 g. Origin: China Circa: 1940
