Original 1745 county map of Nottinghamshire, engraved by T. Kitchin after Emanuel Bowen and published for the Gentleman’s Magazine. Copperplate engraving with original hand colouring to boundaries and rivers, printed on laid paper. This is a genuine 18th-century map, not a later reproduction. A consistent plate mark is visible. Condition shows honest age toning with no obvious losses visible through the glass; margins are trimmed but adequate. Bowen/Kitchin county maps remain a well-understood and actively collected category, with steady demand from regional and map collectors. Presented in a later frame which adds display value only. Offered as a single item.
