great for warming plates or outing heat safe serving dishes onto keep food warm . the top warmer plate lifts off the bottom stand via the handles . it does not permanently fix on but just sits on top . I may remove the plastic handles for transit . you just screw them back in with a screwdriver. measures approx 53c by 35cm not including the handles . 65cm including the handles. it gets hot so watch your hands on it .
