Simply connect the DisplayPort (male) end of the connector to your computer and plug your existing DVI Dual Link cable from the display into the DVI (female) adapter. The adapter has a latching DisplayPort connector on one end and DVI-D connector on the other for connecting to a DVI-D monitor cable.
