This step stool only 1.8" after folding for storage. The lightweight aluminium construction folds up easily and weighs only 9 lbs. Just tilt the ladder forward and release the safety lock which is hidden on the bottom of the top pedal, then lift the back of the top pedal, you can fold it easily.
