During the Vietnam War, the 354th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW) of the USAF adopted the "Ace of Diamonds" as their unit insignia. The 354th TFW was based at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base in South Carolina and deployed to Vietnam in 1965.
