This charger only fits Activ Energy batteries, which are used for Ferrex 's current battery-powered devices. There are 2 battery variants: 20V battery (small) and 20/40V combination battery (large). Both variants can be loaded. Other Ferrex batteries CANNOT be charged. Other batteries from other manufacturers cannot be charged either. The old Ferrex batteries with 12V, 14V, 16V or 18V or other voltages cannot be charged! For economic and environmental reasons, shipping takes place without additional outer packaging, which means that a lot of packaging material can be saved, which would otherwise end up in the trash.
