The coin portrays an image of a kangaroo and its joey in scrubland. Included in the design are radial lines suggestive of the setting sun, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. As well as radial lines, the obverse also includes the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination and 2023 year-date.
