Guild introduced its B50 acoustic bass in 1975 & this absolutely gorgeous example is from 1976, making it quite an early version. A truly remarkable sounding instrument, producing a deep rich tone that compliments any acoustic combo. Very easy & very fun to play, we're fairly certain this big fella isn't going to last very long in the shop. We did a pro set up on it so it's ready to perform straight out of the case. Body: Solid spruce top with multi-layer binding. The rosewood bridge originally had a two-piece split saddle, but has been modified to a single saddle to accommodate the under-saddle element. Tortoise pickguards & multi-ring rosette. Mahogany back & sides with arched back & single-ply binding. The back actually shows off some nice figuring in the mahogany - kind of flamey actua.
