Pair of antique forged iron steelyard balance scales, each marked TRADE MARK, dating to the late 1800s–early 1900s. These were originally used on farms for weighing cotton, grain sacks, meat, hides, and other general farm goods. Both scales include their original forged hooks and sliding balance arms and have great rustic farmhouse character. These are matching in size and style, making them ideal for display, barn décor, or primitive Americana collections. Harder to find as a complete pair. Shows age, surface wear, and patina consistent with antique iron farm tools. Mechanisms move but accuracy has not been tested. Mossing the balancing weights and one hook is broken.
