Neville describes in Part One of his build instructions that his drawings are based on a copy of original Foden 5-ton steam wagon drawings. The model is produced with a fire tube type boiler, based on a design by Mr. J. Van Riemsdijk of the Gauge 1 Association, and designed to be gas-fired (or spirit fired, as an alternative).
