Large billet of bog oak. Recovered from the snapped section of a trunk that was later milled. Still very heavy has only been out the ground for 3 months will require drying or further processing. Splits and checks are all displayed in the images, still a lot of usable timber despite these faults. Thickness is 5 inch on the small end, 5½ inch on the big end.
