1886 Swiss Military Medal, "To The Loyal Members In Honor, Union Helvetia" Named "J. Langensand, 1886". It is a silver medal, encased in a fancy hanger, which looks like gold, but not likely. On one side is the inscription and a wreath, and on the other side is "Helvetia" standing and a baby at her feet, surrounded by a circle of shields representing the Swiss Cantons. Approximate size is 40 mm by 28 mm including the hanger. It has some wear from normal use, yet it is easily readable. At this time I know nothing else about it, It might be a desirable military or civil medal.
