A beautiful copy of The Holy Bible, dated 1779. An Ostervald’s edition. Condition is good, both boards are still attached & the page binding is in very good shape & is holding well. One string on the front cover has snapped however this does not cause the cover to swing loose or detach in any way. Missing some of the leather spinal outer binding cover, however the main leather text panel is still intact. An utterly beautiful book, printed in folio size making this an extraordinarily large piece. Bound in hardback boards with thick brown suede leather covers, perfect as a stand it addition to any antiquarian book collection.
