Designed to support a cavity width of 50 - 65mm, in a wall or between two vertical supports, with blockwork built tightly against the inner face. They are often propped to increase speed of construction and are placed on a mortar bed on top of blockwork prior to floor units being laid to ensure an even load distribution.
