Carbon monoxide alarms DO NOT have to be interlinked for the new Scottish fire laws, so this is a personal choice with regards to it being interlinked or not. CO alarms are necessary in every house with a carbon fuelled appliance like a gas boiler, gas fire, wood burning fire place or flue.
