You can set the temperature from the dial at the front of the chest freezer and there is also a warning light which will alert you if the temperature rises to unsafe levels. It seems with this model that the minimum ambient temperature where you can keep it needs to be 10°c. Bear this in mind as if you do place it in a room that falls below 10°c, it may invalidate the warranty.
