There's really no other appropriate way to describe this item other than a Big Blue Chicken! It's deeply coloured in this magnificent cobalt blue, and measures 31cm long, 22cm wide and 19cm at its highest. It was made by the American company Taylor & Ng, which began selling Asian-inspired cookware and decorative kitchen goods in the San Francisco area in 1960. Chickens of all sorts appear on many of their china items, especially mugs! Their shops closed in 1985 so the company could focus on wholesale supplies to department stores such as Macy's. In 1997, the company was sold to an on-line retailer.
