The S5470 was among the first 24-fret S series models made widely available for the public, introduced along with the S5470F, S5470BW and EGEN18 in 2008. The S5470 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret indian rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers and special dot inlay at 12 fret.
