Required if the bike is equipped with hydraulic brakes. Also suitable for hydraulic rim brakes and combined brake/shift levers. If the magnet moves away, the motor will stop advancing. The sensor is mounted on the brake housing with eg cable ties, glue and magnets on the brake lever.
