This French 4-glass regulator mantel clock features a classic design of the highest quality and is in great original condition. The case has four thick beveled glass panels, all in excellent condition, and a stunning original brass finish The enamel dial with Arabic numerals and hand-painted floral decoration is protected by a bevel-glazed hinged door and is in excellent condition. The clock has a French 8-day gong striking movement with an anchor escapement and pendulum. The movement strikes the gong once on the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour. It is in full working order, keeping good time and striking as it should. The clock measures 12 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 5.75 inches deep. This is a genuine original antique clock dating from circa 1850-1880.
