The front brake cable of the drum-braked Vespa PX, T5 and also LML models is hung on the brake anchor plate in this guide, pre-tensioned and clamped by means of the screw. Since the brake cable is a safety-relevant component, the retaining plate including bolt, cotter pin and screw connection should also be changed when replacing the brake cable. With old and multiple-used brackets, the thread can wear out severely due to the constant tightening of the nut and no longer guarantee sufficient clamping of the cable pull!
