Vintage Chinese table or possibly a stool. With open design could also have been part of a nesting table set at one time. Great simplistic, lines and symmetry and beautiful grain to the wood, not sure the type, but beautiful solid piece. Small chip to one corner, see photos, otherwise in excellent condition.
