The gown unusually comes with matching petticoat, which has the exact embroidery pattern on the gown to the hem, and these are rarely found together. AGE - Victorian, circa 1880's. MEASUREMENTS - Gown Chest = 18" (under bodice/arms) Sleeve= 2" (shoulder to cuff) Length= 42" (shoulder to hem) Petticoat Chest = 18" (under bodice/arms) Length= 41" (shoulder to hem) CONDITION - The gown is in fair condition for age, although there is a seam tear under both arms, plus the skirt has numerous fraying holes and fine tears, especially to the embroidery.
