A lovely set of two vintage cloth backed maps in colour - one depicting the North of France, the other depicting the south. The maps themselves are in excellent condition and look as though they haven’t been used much. The fabric is intact with no rips or tears and hasn’t yellowed very much. They come in a wallet which has protected them from light and other contaminants. Believed to have been printed around the 1920s and draughted by the Edinburgh Geographical Institute the maps are a lovely example of 20th century cartology.
