This beautiful champagne bottle holder will add interest and elegance to any setting , with its decorative pierced design and ring handles, and aged patina. It has been cleaned and lightly polished to reveal its good condition -it has some scratches and slight dents, commensurate with age and use, which add to the overall charm. ( see latter images). It is stamped on the base; the style and design of this piece are often attributed to British makers such as Mappin and Webb or William Hutton and Sons, from 1900's -1930's , however the A S raised cameo serif maker's mark suggests possibly A .S and Co. Birmingham 1920-1930. It measures 17 cms tall x11cm top diameter, 14 cm base diameter. It weighs approx 480gms. A very nice piece with many uses and highly decorative.
