No dongle, so I can't test, but when I put old batteries in the light came on. Could be ideal of you have the correct dongle or need skme replacement keys off of it. It could do with a clean and there is evidence of battery leakage in the battery compartment - but it seems to be powering in still so I don't think it's a problem.
