For new plaster, industry standard advice is to apply an initial mist coat - in which case you can thin Frenchic wall paint with tap water up to a maximum of 10%. To promote a smooth finish, treat porous wood surfaces, like bare MDF, with an application of 2 coats of Frenchic Finishing Coat prior to painting.
