Replaces ALKO part number AK160B. As a general rule you would replace the hitch head if it is loose when on the tow ball, rattles etc. or if the springs in the hitch head are particularly rusty. However because of the potential consequences of this part failing or coming off the vehicle, where there is any doubt it should be replaced.
