This is “National Banjo Champion,” by Sonny Smith, a previously-owned CD manufactured independently by Rocky Top Duplication Services in 1998. It is in great shape and plays through perfectly (double-checked)… Banjo virtuoso Sonny Smith won the 1998 National Banjo Championship and also worked for Dolly Parton in Dollywood. He later developed the B160 banjo for Washburn, adding a wider fretboard to accommodate bigger fingers and moving the 5th string nut between the 5th and 6th fret for improved tone, sustain, and intonation. Likewise, he has his own signature banjo through Nashville Musical Products called ‘ Diamond Joe.
