Born in 1963, Graham Norton was brought up in County Cork, Ireland. He dropped out after a year of studying at University College in Cork, went to San Francisco where he was briefly engaged and then moved to London to join the Central School of Speech and Drama and, until his late 20s, worked as a waiter and a barman.
